The two doors that
everyone notices.

A patio door is the widest hole in your envelope and an entry door is the first thing a guest touches. Both are worth doing once, properly.

Patio doors

Three configurations, all with laminated glass, multi-point locking, and a re-leveled sill as part of a full-frame replacement.

Sliding Patio Door

One fixed panel and one that glides on a stainless track. It takes no floor space to operate, which is why it survives in rooms where furniture already crowds the wall.

The pricing sweet spot of the three. Our replacement includes a new interlocking sill sweep, which is where nearly every draft complaint actually originates.

Hinged / French Doors

Two hinged panels meeting at an astragal in the middle. Because the panels compress into weatherstripping rather than sliding past it, a French pair seals tighter than a slider.

Worth checking your furniture plan first: each panel needs about thirty inches of clear swing.

Multi-Slide

Three or four panels that stack against one another to open most of a wall. This is the unit people picture when they say they want to open the back of the house to the yard.

It is a structural change in most homes: the header has to be sized for the span. We quote the carpentry and the permit alongside the door.

Entry doors

Insulated fiberglass or paint-grade steel slabs in three configurations, factory-finished before they reach your house.

Diagram of a single entry door: one solid leaf with a glass lite, hinged along one side
04 · FROM $1,350 INSTALLED

Single Entry Door

One slab in the existing opening, which keeps the job to a single day and the siding untouched. Insulated fiberglass reads as painted wood but does not swell or check.

The right call when the door itself has failed but the frame, brickmould, and threshold are sound.

05 · FROM $2,600 INSTALLED

Double Entry Door

Two active slabs meeting in the center, giving you a genuinely wide opening for furniture days and a much more formal front elevation.

Both slabs carry multi-point locks; the inactive leaf pins top and bottom into the frame.

With Sidelights

A single door flanked by narrow fixed glass panels, which is the most effective way to bring daylight into a dark entry hall without changing the door size.

Sidelight glass is laminated as standard, and obscure or reeded glass is available where the front door faces a walk.

Common questions

Drafts, openings,
and security.

Anything not covered here, ask during the consultation or call (765) 376-1197.

Will a new patio door stop the draft along the floor?

Usually, yes. Most floor draft at a patio door comes from a failed sill sweep or an out-of-square frame rather than the glass. A full-frame replacement re-levels the sill and installs a new interlocking sweep.

Can you widen an existing opening?

Yes, though it becomes a framing job as well as a door job. Widening a patio opening for a multi-slide unit requires a new header sized by span; we quote the carpentry separately and pull the permit.

How secure are sidelights next to a front door?

All sidelight glass is laminated as standard, which holds together when struck instead of breaking out, and we set multi-point locks on the door slab itself rather than a single deadbolt.

Do entry doors come pre-finished?

Paint-grade and stain-grade doors arrive factory-finished in the color you select at the consultation. Field finishing is available but not recommended in Indiana humidity.
